A morning in the park with Tango and Chloe – Client Micro-Shoot

White Shape

I had the pleasure of photographing these two cuties right at the end of 2016 at Weston Park, Canberra.

What a duo! Chloe, the stunning Pug / Jack Russell X, is an absolute ball of energy and oozes with character! What Chloe brought in character, Tango, the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, brought in style (…just look at him) ;D. Together, they make an extremely cute and entertaining duo.

Although the bulk of our sunrise shoot took place at Weston Park, we kicked-off at this awesome nearby boat ramp on the lake. As I’m sure you’ll agree, it was the perfect spot for some sunrise silhouettes and fun pontoon and tree stump portraits :D. Chloe and Tango were the perfect improvisers. To capture the perfect silhouette, they nestled close together on a nearby mound of stones. Nearby, on the waterfront, they tactfully made use of a conveniently placed tree stump to raise their paws off the mud and mangroves. Chloe used this as the perfect opportunity to show-off her balancing skills ;).

Once we wrapped-up at the boat ramp we ventured on to Weston Park. Somewhat unexpectedly, Chloe and Tango had the pleasure of meeting their first kangaroos :). An unexpected bonus! Despite some keen interest, Chloe and Tango were angels and left the roos to their business.

Once clear of the roos, Tango decided to take-in the beautiful view on this nearby park bench :). Once he was satisfied, we ventured down to this little beach front, where we captured this beautiful shot of these two laying side-by-side – the perfect fur clients :). Clearly they’ve taken my ‘posing 101’ class ;).

It was time to reward these two with some off-lead time (under careful parental supervision, of course! ha ha). Tango stuck nice and close, sniffing the nearby surrounds. Chloe, on the other hand, embraced this perfect opportunity and decided to go and explore this foreign and exciting park…A slightly unexpected intermission from our shoot. Not to worry – Maelyn, Chloe’s Mum, is a professional dog trainer. After closing the gap between her and Chloe, a single confident recall command had her bounding straight back :). Unfortunately for Chloe, that marked the conclusion of her off-lead adventures for this outing ;).

This was the perfect time for some one-on-one portraits. Tango was up first, showing Chloe how it’s done! I have to say, Chloe absolutely rose to the challenge. Thanks to the wonders of Photoshop, Chloe’s lead ‘accessory’ was no problem whatsoever. This shot of Chloe was definitely one of my personal favourites from the outing :).

What a perfect time to round this session up and enjoy a nice morning stroll back to the car park.
